This photo is not from The Tonight Show appearance (with guest host Flip Wilson) because sadly there is no video or images of that appearance. What we do have is the audio taped on a reel-to-reel. Jimi's amp blew during Lover Man so there is a false start and a second version, somewhat truncated.
I have cleaned up the audio a bit, removed the buzz, and as a bonus added a hybrid edit of the two versions of Lover Man.
01 - Audio of broadcast and Lover Man (stitched together from a couple of difference sources, so quality varies in spots)
02 - Lover Man [edit by FD]
